Dr. Baldys is originally from Williamsport PA. He enjoys the challenges of a career in veterinary medicine and the rewards of companion animal care. Dr. Baldys has always enjoyed working with animals since growing up on a small farm in rural Pennsylvania. Dr. Baldys attended Penn State University and received a Bachelors of Science in Biology, graduated in 2009. Prior to graduation he performed research in molecular biology in malaria vaccine development for the Walter Reed army institute of research. He then worked at a small animal veterinary hospital in Williamsport prior to enrollment at University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary medicine in 2011. Following graduation Dr. Baldys worked for a year in a mixed animal practice in Pennsylvania, gained experience in variety of areas primarily working with dogs and cats. Lastly he worked in a small animal practice in State College Pennsylvania performing general medical workups, dental procedures, general surgery and wellness care prior to his move to New Mexico.
Dr. Baldys' hobbies include playing guitar, playing and watching a variety of sports, he also an aspiring hobby farmer. Dr. Baldys is a die hard Philadelphia sports fan, especially the Philadelphia 76ers.
Dr. Baldys moved to New Mexico with his fiancee Melissa, who is originally from the Santa Fe area. They currently have one cat, Olive, who is a rescue from Penn State's campus and one dog, Jolie. They are both excited to be in beautiful New Mexico and look forward to enjoying the culture and beautiful scenery Santa Fe has to offer.
